Art's Ham Buddies Speak Up
I was just listening to one of Art's buddies Jim on Smeter and he said "Big guy out of town for two weeks, going to be a difficult period."

Odd he's going to be out of communication with his HAM buds if you ask me. Unless that's part of his vacation plan - to get away from it all. I'm saying this as my wife's father was a hard-core HAM and he had portable's he loved to use on those occasions he was away from his big set, even while on vacation.

You should have no problem listening here unless you have dialup. Art is nomally on everynight with the exception of the next week or so, his buddies are still on and they repeat the previous night on the this site twice during the day/evening.

tohosana look at the link I posted above your post, don't know if you can listen on Art's link with dial up.

You must use Explorer and have Windows media player.

I don't understand what it is all about but Art and several of his buddies split with the 3840 group three or so months ago.
The person who informed me of this didn't elaborate on the breakup, but if you look on the Smeter site the numbers are listed at 3847 kHz not 3840.
I guess Art must be flying instead of driving since the last time that he took the motor home out he kept in touch with his buddies while traveling at night in the RV. I listened on the Smeter site while he described driving through Utah.

Thanks Folks,
I found the S-Meter site is NOT
compatible with MAC's. ;-(
If anyone has L & J's
Live 365 link - if it's still up -
I'd appreciate it being posted.
Mine disappeared in a crash and
unfortunately - I didn't have it
written anyplace.
I really enjoyed listening in
every once in a while.
I'll post the notic to MAC people
to save them some time.
BTW: Anyone know where Art went
and when he'll be back ?

Microsoft announced in June of 2003 that
it was halting development of Internet
Explorer for Mac, because of competition
from Apple's Safari browser. Mac
computers are not compatible with
versions of Windows Media Player
released since that time. Old Windows
Media Player versions that can be used
on a Mac are not compatible with the
Windows Media Audio 9 Voice codec used
to encode receiver audio.
