One thing that Obama has accomplished is to give the insurance companies a "legal" out in that they can now cancel policies that have worked very well for many people, and replace these policies with new versions that cost a lot more and contain features that many will never, ever use. By working to provide coverage to the 15% that didn't have any plan, he's screwed-up the porcess for the otehr 85%. Nice legacy.

The concept of Obama and the Democrats, especially, not being in bed with corprations has finally been put to bed. That the Democratic Senate totally caved and didn't even bother to read the bill, essentially rubber-stamping the document shows me at least that their feigned caring for the middle and lower classes is all talk. People can (rightly) complain about the GOP, but I would think that they'd be more than a little pissed with the Democrats.

strindl - a forum is just to post links? A forum is for discussion and discourse. Living outside a major metro, the local talk radio discusses both local events as well as national news events. There are calls from local metro residents and at times they will play calls from their "sister stations" in other cities and identify which city and only if the calls pertain to the subject being discussed.

raggedy ann -- I "idolize" Rush? Really? I catch some of his radio show, especially in the winter as the garden work is over for the year. I listen to coast to coast at night. FACT I even went on an ART BELL Alaskan cruise and met several of Art's radio guests back in the 90s.

Umm...no, I never said that. What I said is that to be an effective participant in an online forum, you should be able to substantiate the claims you make.

And rush limbough is an entertainer, not a news reporter.

Actually your team only wishes they had a Rush Limbaugh. They tried and it tanked - ever hear of Air America? One doesn't need a link to know the talk show ratings relative to political talk.

Lets not look down our nose at Rush as I would imagine there are some of us here who could do a number on your listening and viewing habits as well.

Fact is many consider the Daily Show, Bill Maher and of course MSNBC with their rabid low rated entertainers as their main source of "news reporting".

The website worked. First hand experience FTW.

With such a fabulous experience I would think you would want to share this with others in a more hands on effort.

Rush has done so well that the Republicans lost the last 2 elections. Wonder if this had anything to do with the fact that more women and ethnic minorities now vote and he has not kept up with the times? (subliminal message for misogynist/racist). :D

My has this thread turned ugly.

All I can say is; the president lied. Period. And using the formulas on the web site, I would be paying $726 more per month to get the same quality insurance I have today. Of course, some folks feel happy with that fact and say I deserve to get raked over the coals.

What's the matter don't you like links:D

This is the official Health Insurance Marketplace
Navigator Standard Operating Procedures Manual - it is confidential and not for public consumption and yet easily accessible on the Internet. Confidentiality clause all over this document and they want folks to trust them with their SS numbers and all the rest.

Here is another link.
