I can imagine that it won't be pretty. Whether through a lack of funding, or a "computer glitch", I can see the system being shut-down at some point, and before it can be brought back-up, or refunded, all hell will break loose.

Yes, and that will be the reintroduction of the reality Fan -- and I'd include SquidInk in this -- thinks no longer exists in America.

Reality is reality and exists regardless of the totality of social unreality imposed over it. Unfortunately, we'd had many examples of this sort of dynamic throughout the 20th century. It isn't unprecedented, just a highly extreme variation.

Contingent upon the Congress not reaching a deal. I can't see that happening, but interresting to see the signal flare being sent-up. It'll be interesting to see the reaction.

yeah and it worked, and I was out there (a riot is just a protest where the cops decide to break some heads). I was also out to protest the Iraq wars, the NAFTA agreement, and many more. While we did not end those, we made people take notice, we made people in power afraid. It was not a fake Sarah Palin lame attempt at news gathering. While the vast majority of Americans may be so cynical you want the world to go to hell, some people don't. A lot of people don't. We want you to show us you care, that you CAN get up and say HELL NO! At this point it is basically too late, there was no protest, no one cares in the USA it seems. They are content to bitch on blogs and at the corner store, protest has been reduced to grumbling and self-loathing.

How many times have we been over this. There will be no Protesting of wars or commerce ....trade.... while a Demacrate is in office . Unless there is a breakdown in the welfare system .

Anyone hear the C2CAM show where they talked about generals being asked if they would fire upon citizens, and the ones who said they would were removed.
