Not sure if Obamacare is the worst that can happen. It might collapse the system under its own weight. THEN the real fun will begin à la the 1930s, but far worse, because we will now have the drones, domestic spying, and authorization for the military to be used here at home - things we didn't have during the Great Depression. And, never mind the government regulations against homegrowing your own food and registering your "farm" with the government.........

kbot --well if a "garden" is a farm - then one can register their FARM as a FARM and get reduced property taxes...

Some years ago - this was classified rural agriculture land -- then in a 'secret vote' ((done by county meeting of county elected officials and NOT the county or even the people who owned the land)) - changed to residential and taxes went -- double or triple. THEN when they found out it still left ag land at 10 acres -- and were not getting the expected taxes -- raised the definition to higher acres. THEN to add even a few more taxes - gee if you had animals (not dogs or cats) there was another added tax per critter!

Well, you know the old saying. One thing leads to another.

Odds are we'd still get there without Obamacare. But as a straw that breaks the camel's back sooner rather than later, I'd say it's looking pretty good.
