Last I heard, YOUR share of the federal debt (and mine as well) was over $134K per household. Of that, something like $40K goes to foreign aid (nice, huh?). Under Obama, these numbers have only gone up. So, by supporting those her at home and those overseas, it makes you wonder if its worth working for a living........

Boy like you I'm still working and I feel that every day.

My husband said he was thankful he was not embarking on his career now and glad he started when he did. He is now retired and I would be too if I was smart enough - just can't seem to do it yet.

If you're talking about the Libya ecapade, I think that they're going to try to hang on until after the elections and just hope that they can keep it swept under the rug...... Maybe offer some more candy to the masses to keep them busy......

It's telling that, in the face of all this, the Obama campaign is telling everyone to vote early. "Forget everything you'll be hearing in the news the next ten days! Vote now! Now! Now!!!"

These fricken people need to go. What scum. Why can't people see it? It makes me embarrassed for the human race to know there are enough people that sell thier souls and vote for this dishonest piece of crap.

I just don't get it.

Can you imagine how our soldiers in the field feel about this? Being left behind is not something that has ever been the policy of the US until now.

It must be some horrifically scary times for our service men and women worrying about whether somebody will come for them if losing a firefight or if they are unexpectedly attacked or if they are left behind on some failed special mission that was to gain some advantage for us during the course of this or any new war.

Guess we've got your back is meaningless now.

Lore,

You are correct - I was thinking from a personal point of view as a mother but the message to those serving has to be devastating and disillusioning.

It disturbs me when I hear someone like a Susan Cutter speak and say the only reason this is an issue is because the Romney/Ryan campaign is making it an issue.

To see that only one network is giving this full attention is frightening. I have seen the term Faux news bandied about and yet it seems to me this is the network staying on top of this bad situation.

Historically there has always been animosity between those in the military and politicians, even though both parties deny this. Those in the military will support whoever is in office, but privately soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines all make their feelings known.

What is truly sad and pathetic is that the Obama administration not only doesn't have a clue on how to develop a true rapport with the military that both engenders and deepens respect, they simply cannot relate. Many members of Obama's team haven't even served in the military, so they are, as typical academics do, work off a theoretical model.
