PPP's newest national poll finds that after a little more than 3 months in charge House Republicans have fallen so far out of favor with the American public that it's entirely possible Democrats could take control of the House back next year.
(snip)
46% of voters say that if there was an election for Congress today they would vote Democratic, compared to only 41% who would vote Republican. That five point advantage for Democrats is only a hair below the margin Republicans won by in the national popular vote last year. A victory of that magnitude for the Democrats next year would at the very least result in the party taking back a large number of the seats it lost last year, and it could be enough to take back the outright majority
(snip)
These poll numbers also point to the reality that Republicans taking control of the House may have been one of the best things that could possibly have happened for Obama's reelection prospects. Although we found the President with slightly negative approval numbers on this poll, when asked whether they had more faith in Obama or Congressional Republicans to lead the country in the right direction 48% of voters picked Obama to only 42% who went with Congressional Republicans. Voters may not love Obama as once they did but they're finding him to be more reasonable than the alternative and that means it will be hard for the GOP to knock him off next year without a top notch nominee. One thing is very much for certain- it's not 2010 anymore.
-------
Popcorn anyone? With the GOP fracturing AT LEAST into the Republicans/Kochroaches, the TeaBaggers and now 'The Donald' saying he'll run as in independent... this is gonna be a reality show that might just be worth watching...

Republican - re·pub·li·can (r-pbl-kn) - political party, which will control part of Congress 2011-2012, undermining the strength of the country - on purpose, in public, without apology or shame - simply for a campaign advantage in 2012.

Slobs?
Hmmmm.
I have no love for the AARP and I do consider some (not all) teachers to be unworthy of the name.
However, where firefighters and police are concerned, I truly doubt you would call ether "slobs" if you suddenly found yourself in need of their services. Were the Firefighters and Police who died trying to save lives at the WTC "slobs" ? And nurses. My daughter graduates from nursing school early next month as a full fledged RN. Top of her class even. Surely you are not referring to her when you say "slob", are you?
I know the above may well seem like I'm slamming you over a single word. It's not meant that way. I simply have a soft spot for most of those people. Sure, there are some bad apples in the barrels, and they always get the press, never the good ones.

I believe RA was referring to Senator Glenn Grothman's (R-WI) comments when he called those people slobs:

As a teacher of nurses, he managed to paint me with a broad bush twice. Without teachers, there would be no nurses, or police, or anything pretty much.
But that's o.k., Grothman is likely to be recalled and unemployed soon. Like a slob.

Thanks for straightening this out for me Mike. I kinda thought after I hit the submit button that some may not know about that wretched comment. I wholeheartedly agree with you Jon-Marcus. Where would we be without these brave and dedicated folks?
I SERIOUSLY doubt it.......Strong ads pointing out that a vote for a house Democrat is a Vote for Nancy Polsi should put a stop to that (next to GWB outside of SF she is the most hated political figure of the new decade) everytime I ran a political ad I would put a picture of Polousy framed side by side u get a Democrat but u also get Stalin in a Pants suit/dress....
