Bachmann rallies "faithful" at CCPAC
You've just got to love a source named "oilleader".........anyways...
Seems that Minnesota Rep Michelle Bachmann was well received at the CCPAC being held in Washington. And why not.......
Snippet:
The Tea Party darling told the base what they wanted to hear: that they were good-looking and ‘Obamacare’ would be repealed

Just remember, according to Rep Bachmann, the opening shots in the American Revolution were fired in New Hampshire.

I've heard this analogy before. They are not the same. It would be stupid to think that a scholar of the U.S. constitution would actually mean there are 57 States. Tired from a long year of campaigning might be the reason. I doubt there are many people in this world who have the ability to get up on stage everyday for over a year and not have one single misspeak. He had a silly one, give me a break!
Bachman does not misspeak, she is just plain ignorant. There is nothing silly about that!

sounds like a double standered to me if someone on the right makes a mistake they are ignorant and stupid...if someone one the left makes a verbal slip they are just "tired"...... it`s only a crime if ur political enemy does it ....if ur side does it ..oh it`s just a minor error...I think all parties need to get off there Kool-aid IV they have drippin jeeze

In fact she believes what she says which is not silly its just plain scary.Raggedyann wrote: Bachman does not misspeak, she is just plain ignorant. There is nothing silly about that!
I can forgive an occasional mistake. OK, so Bachmann doesn't know, or "forgot" how the American Revolutionary War started. The fact that the Right has co-opted The Patriot Movement gives me pause on this point, but let's give her that one.
But, how about the line about the Founding Fathers being in the forefront to abolish slavery? Another faux pas? Naaahh, I don't think so. Many of the Founding Fathers oewned slaves, and for Rep Bachmann to either just reinvent history on the fly, or intgentionally engage in revisionist history is worrisome. My impression is that Bachmann just doesn't know her facts. Maybe she just slept through American History. Maybe it's just not important to her. Maybe she's, like Palin one who believes in the precept "If you can't dazzle 'em with brains, baffle 'em with bullsh..t".
In any event, you would hope, at least, that someone running for high office would at least have the basics concerning our shared history covered.
