RIP Joe Quinn
I don't visit here that often, and just read this Obit. From the little bit posted here, "He" mentions being 17 in 1966 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. I grew up not too far away in Woodhaven,Queens, NY.
What was Joe Quinn's "Handle" on FF (?) so that I can read some of his past posts.
Being close in age and former residence, we may have had some mutual contacts.
By any chance, was he once employed by The City of New York?

three friends-if they seem okay-you're it

Yes, we know all that.

Please don't rehash the info already mentioned. Joe's life is not be be summed up in a "list"on a forum. Let it be. Let him be.
*Agree, HJ

I am working on making a tribute site to JoeQuinn. I would love it if anyone interested would contribute. If you have anything from Joe you wanted to share, writing, photos, tributes, poems, whatever... please gather them together and email them to me [email protected].
I will be putting up a website, and am working with Joe's friend Briant on getting any media or other archives we can.

Fan, this is Fan-tastic. Will you be putting all of his posts there? That would be quite a site, if so!Fan wrote: I am working on making a tribute site to JoeQuinn. Indeed, this is the idea. I would like to have many of his posts from all the forums available. Again, I implore anyone with correspondence, thoughts, poems, anything to let me know, and to share them with us.
I have bought a domain name and have hosting ready, I am waiting for Briant to get back to me with his resources.

It's been a long time since I have posted on this forum. But I wanted to say,
Some words about Joe Quinn's passing. I knew of his passing, from another forum. But still feel compelled to comment here. I had been in contact with him privately so I knew of his plans, and I have been saddened, by the passing of someone who I considered a brother in arms, through many turbulent years on this forum. I considered Joe Quinn a voice of sanity, and I appreciated his support on many occasions, here and elsewhere. I also respected Joe's great love and admiration for playwright Eugene O'Neal. Joe's spirit and passion may have been disturbing to some, but to many of us it gave us good reason to be here and to share in his thoughts. Rest in peace, Joe Quinn, your work will continue.
