Personally, I don't think it matters - think Jimmy Carter, for instance. Some issues are just beyond the control of government to deal with effectively.

We've got to put aside our petty differences, and come together on the IMPORTANT issues, such as taking care of each other, and actually CARING about each other, no matter who we worship and what we are.
