You really ought to e-mail Joe MacDonald with the lyrics. He's got a great sense of humor, and might even sing your version in one of his shows. His site is at http://www.countryjoe.com/ and you'll find his e-mail addy somewhere there. He's got his original band together again, sans "The Fish.&...

Things will actually be far worse the next four years. The Republicans picked up 5 Senate Seats. Bush will have a clear mandate to run amok, with almost nothing to stop him in the Senate. The Dems still retain enough seats to filibuster, but their position is much weaker than before. Also, Bush woul...

Florida appears lost. Ohio may be salvageable, but Wisconsin is probably lost. Kerry can still win, but the Republicans have taken many new seats in the Senate.

Florida is looking scary...Republicans carrying the I-4 corridor, including Orlando. But Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach aren't in yet, and they're the most populous and heavily Democratic. Panhandle is heavily Republican, and polls are open for 15 more minutes. Kerry doing very well in Ohio, and will...

Dirty Tricks in Miami...

Can't find a link to this story, but it was on local TV yesterday. Apparently a group of Republicans (I'm willing to believe they were not acting on official orders), dressed up in drag and carried Kerry signs and "Gay Rights" signs through a conservative neighborhood in Miami. They were a...

Looks great, but I'd like to see a bigger spread in Florida and Ohio! One thing I do predict is that we won't have to wait weeks for a final result! This heavy turnout is going to send all the prognosticators back to the drawing board! Even Tucker Carlson on CNN admitted last night he expects Kerry ...

I'd really discourage anyone from absentee voting. With the early voting, anyone should be able to do it unless they reside outside the country. Keep in mind that absentee ballots are not even counted unless an election is so close they could mathematically sway the results. Early votes are in the c...

I think it's really outrageous that our troops, or their families have to spend their own money to purchase equipment that ought to be provided for them. But, when I see troops using store-bought walkie-talkies to stay in communication because the government won't provide radio equipment, I'm really...

One of the quetions I was asked was whether I felt I voted FOR Kerry, or AGAINST Bush.

I said that while I felt I voted FOR Kerry, that if the election had been a choice between Bush or Satan, I'd have voted for Satan in a heartbeat!

I'm in Broward County. I think I only waited 30 to 40 minutes to vote at a nearby courthouse. It wasn't bad, and everyone seemed in a rather festive mood. They just passed 100,000 in early voters in this county. It now has been acknowledged that the ballots were lost by the Postal Service. I was rib...

Anyone Been Polled?

I rarely talk to anyone who's ever been contacted by a poll-taker, but I just got polled myself by an AP represtentative. He was polling those who had voted early, and I qualified since I voted a week ago Thursday. I actually enjoyed the questions.

Anyone else been polled?

Thing is, the prompting he was no doubt receiving is probably what caused him to do so poorly in the 1st debate. He constantly seemed distracted and unable to concentrate on the questions.

This was an interesting case. I wish I had the name of the Bush-Appointee who wrote "The 6th Amendment only says you have to have a lawyer. It does not say he has to be awake." It was a lower Texas appellate judge, and as you can see, the Texas Supreme Court upheld the ruling. It took a Fe...
